Today’s lesson is all about the most important part of any interview – RESEARCH.
I’m not sure why, but many people think they can just “wing it” when they go on job interviews. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Although most interviewers won’t blatantly come out an ask you to repeat back facts about the company to them, they are expecting you to have done your homework and bring it up during the conversation and they are definitely NOT expecting you to ask “So, can you tell me a little about what the company actually does?”
When doing your research for an interview, it’s not enough to just scan the company’s website, you should be clear on the following things:
- Core Values
- Former employee(s)
Any questions, be sure to ask them in the comments below.
That’s all for today! Stay tuned for lesson #3 which will talk about building rapport with your interviewer.
